a451 is pleased to welcome Chris Wood as our latest search engine marketing partner. Chris has been in digital marketing for 12 years, starting out with the Sarova Hotel Group where he was part of the team that launched their very first Web site with online booking. The Web site was very successful and was the beginning of Chris’s passion for all things Web related.
Wanting to spread his wings further, Chris then set up his own Web business that focused on recruitment in the Hospitality, Leisure and Travel industries, where he spent several years before moving to bmi airlines, where he managed the web site and search before laterally manging the International Affiliates Program.
With this breadth of experience and wanting the closer interaction of SME’s, Chris has taken his online marketing experience and has now set up on his own providing online marketing services. Chris already has attracted a number of top online retailers as clients and expects to announce another luxury brand client shortly.
In his spare time Chris is an committed Triathlete, and in particular focuses on IronMan, which is the long distance, endurance side of triathlon. Triathlon race distances can vary but IronMan consists of a 2.4 mile swim, 112 mile cycle and a 26.2 mile run back to back, which Chris has best completed in 10 hours 21 minutes. Chris has competed in IronMan Switzerland, IronMan France and Challenge Copenhagen, whilst is this year taking on IronMan Regensburg in Germany and hoping to do well enough to qualify for the Ironman World Championships in Kona, Hawaii. We are still trying to work out how he finds time to fit all this in!
