The name a451 is derived in part from the prophetic and classic novel by Ray Bradbury; Fahrenheit 451. Published in 1953 it is set in the future and based around a fireman named Guy Montag. Despite the idea his name incurs it is actually his job to burn books which, in this version of the future, are forbidden because they are seen as the source of all discord and unhappiness.

‘The classic novel of a post-literate future, Fahrenheit 451 stands alongside Orwell's 1984 and Huxley's Brave New World as a prophetic account of Western civilization's enslavement by the media, conformity and drugs. Bradbury's poetic and powerful prose combines with uncanny insight into the potential of technology to create a novel which, sixty years on from first publication, still has the power to dazzle and shock.’ (Amazon).
David Hollands-Hurst, founder of a451 Search Engine Marketing found this book incredibly relevant to the company as it portrays a world where books have become obsolete thanks to the media. Of course that may never happen in reality, but it does show how relevant a company like a451 is to businesses today when most advertisement is confined to the pages of a website.
