David Hollands-Hurst is the founder of a451 Search Engine Marketing. Setting up the company in 2000 he made it a base for a range of online marketing services including: SEO, PPC, Copywriting, Email Marketing, Social Media and Content Management.

Previous to setting up the a451 company he was involved in banking in the City of London. Gaining a huge amount of valuable experience in the capital he then decided to set up his own business. Being fascinated by the business possibilities of the 90s Web phenomenon it was an easy step to decide what his business would specialize in and so a451 was born!

As the founder of the Search Engine Optimisation company he manages many of the clients thanks to his expertise in the SEO field. He has become loved by his team thanks to his regularly fuelling them with pastries in the mornings and every now and then he even brings in cookies!

In his spare time he admits to being an avid hiker regularly dragging his family out in appalling weather to enjoy the drenched British countryside. He also finds joy in camping, embracing his Canadian roots by only planning a trip and getting the tent out if it is either; raining, hailing or snowing. This habit of his has now become a known sport, fondly named by his a451 team – ‘David’s Extreme Camping’.

Alongside these more taxing sports David is a fanatical golfer and when the time allows you’re sure to find him on the course endeavouring to improve his handicap. Unfortunately David is unable to golf everyday due in large part to having to run a451. To get him through this trying time he regales the staff with stories of his golf exploits at regular intervals!
